Mission

These days, the world has more collections than ever before. The digital age has made art pieces very accessible. The world of galleries and auctions used to be a restricted space, but the overwhelming demand for contemporary art has democratized the entire art business. Starting a collection cannot be a sudden decision; the act of collection is always more than just the desire to possess art.
When I made my decision not so long ago, I had already accumulated enough works that they could be considered a family collection of 20th century photography. Owning art works, and sometimes parting with them, requires significant time and consideration.
Every collector understands that an art collection is a great responsibility, and sometimes a team is even needed to manage it. Such contemplations led me to the decision to establish the Still Art Foundation. As of 2019, we have started our educational, publishing, and exhibition projects to promote 20th and 21st century photographic art in Russia, and I sincerely hope that you will love and appreciate it as much as I do.
